My Story
I first encountered acupuncture and herbal medicine in my early twenties — and it forever changed my life and health. At the time I was struggling with fatigue, insomnia and irregular periods. The only tools my western doctor had to offer were birth control and antidepressants.
I turned to TCM and received something much more powerful: transformation. Over several months, the combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine and simple changes in diet and lifestyle had completely shifted my health in ways I didn’t think were possible: my cycle became regular, I slept through the night and my energy ramped up.
Many years later, experiencing my own challenges with fertility, my appreciation of TCM deepened. Experiencing the seemingly endless cycle of hope, frustration, anger, loss, grief… and complete despair, my life and practice were forever changed. I was given a new perspective and a profound compassion for the journeys and resilience of my patients, and a deeper understanding of the emotional, physical, and spiritual dimensions of infertility. And, through acupuncture, herbal medicine, and integrative care, I was able to bring two children into my family.
Out In the Wild
When I’m not at Healing Blossom, you can find me in the East Bay hills, foraging for wild edibles and medicinal herbs with my kids, out dancing — anything from salsa to hip hop, or in any nearby body of water.
Beyond Fertility
While fertility and women’s health are at the heart of Larisa’s work, her practice extends across the spectrum of life, encompassing: hormonal balance, pregnancy, postpartum care, skin vitality, longevity, insulin resistance and general wellness. Her goal is simple — to help every patient thrive at every stage of life.

Patient Stories
I began working with Larisa after a very hard year of working with eastern and western doctors to try to figure out why I wasn’t getting my period, and therefore not getting pregnant. Larisa, unlike other practitioners I had been to, asked very detailed questions listened to the answers I gave and formulated a very responsive and detailed plan for my care.
After 9 months of irregular cycles, I was pregnant! Larisa worked with me all the way through my pregnancy. She assisted me with pain management strategies for having a natural child birth, which I was able to have, and she made house calls for the recovery post partum. I now have a very healthy 10 month old baby. I have and will continue to recommend Larisa’s services to my friends

I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional healthcare I received from Larisa. I was working in Oakland and injured my knee. I was away from home, in pain, and looking for relief. I found so much more at Healing Blossom!! Larisa is a true healer and great human being. Her gentle, compassionate treatment healed not only my knee but also my heart and soul which I had not realized at the time had been hurt from dealing with a very hostile, toxic work environment and also in need of healing. Thank you Larisa!!!!!
